In what format are the self-assessment exams?
Self-assessment exams consist of multiple-choice questions, in the format recommended by the National Board of Medical Examiners. Each exam consists of 10 or 15 questions on one therapeutic area (e.g., unipolar depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, etc.) After each question, you receive an explanation of the answer choices and a comparison to other candidates’ answers. Based on your performance in each self-assessment exam, you are directed to a personalized list of areas to study in preparation for the final exam.
