In what duration the Show Cause Notice must be replied by the applicant?
An applicant has to reply to the Show Cause Notice within 45 days of receiving the notice (including the additional reminder sent after 30 days of Show Cause Notice, cautioning the applicant of closure of application file if no response is received within 15 more days) and if he/she does not give response within the specified time or if the reply is not satisfactory, then strict actions can be taken by the authorities.
