In version 7, how do I perform what was known as a Relational Variable Merge in version 6?
In the Merge Options dialog (accessible by selecting Merge from the Data menu), select the Variables tab. Select the Match variables check box in the Mode group box, and make sure the Fill with MD option button in the Multiple Cases group box is selected. Then, click the Select button in the Mode group box to display the Select matching variables for current file dialog, where you can select the ID variables by which to match the cases during the merge; these are comparable to what were known as Keys in version 6.
