In US Presidential Politics, should race or religion play a role?
I don’t think so, though I will explain why it does have some bearing. 1: Race and Religion tie into relations a person will have growing up, what they may encounter as far as bias and values, and play into the general character of a person. However value this correctly, you need to place geographic, economic and social upbringing as well. A child born in a modern suburb with wealthy parents and no strict religious guidelines will have a different upbringing than one who was brought up with the same lack of religious guidelines, but from a poor slum. A child born in a baptist community to a wealthy interratial couple in a Northern city will have a different upbringing than a white child born in a poor southern baptist town. 2: Faith and Religion are very different characteristics of a person. Anyone can follow a Religion, but it takes dedication to have Faith in that Religion. Faith can do several things, from forcing you to follow something blindly to allowing you to overcome adversit
