ooo i just saw a presentation on this 1st in the first battle there were catapults they didnt have those in roman times 2nd there was never a battle between the romans and whoever there fighting at the begining 3rd the emperor rules longer then he does in the movie and was on good terms with counsel not bad 4th gladiators fights were usually 1v1 not group fights 5th lions where used to like execute christians not to fight gladiators 6th fans ussually wished the gladiators to live at the end of a fight and not die hope that helped
