Regarding missing GUI dialog box for SAMARA preview. You do not need it to apply the SAMARA preview to your volume. The GUIs basic goal was to get an idea how image may look like with different SAMARA parameters (preview). Basically you get the same functionality when you reconstruct (for example) 32 slices with different parameter combinations and watch results.
