In the final Matrix, did Neo lose to Smith on purpose? Is he still alive?
Neo allowed the viral Smith to take him over and then ‘rewrote the code’ destroying the virus, saving the Matrix and apparently killing himself in the process. Neo can only control the technology in the real world. he can’t fly or move at ‘bullet’ speed. Thus he can destroy the sentinals but has to walk everywhere. No one knows how he does it except that he’s the One and somehow gained a ‘techno-pathic’ ability.
