A ‘General Nursing’ qualification refers to the qualification held by nurses registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council – usually a Degree or Diploma in Nursing. These qualifications fulfil the entry requirements because they necessarily include Biology at Level 3. Dental Nursing qualifications do not include Biology at Level 3, and therefore are not considered acceptable without a further Level 3 qualification in Biology – see below.
