In the BOOK The Notebook…what are examples that support the theme “love causes incredible things to happen”?
There are MANY instances of this theme throughout the book. 1) Love caused two people who were complete opposites to overcome the obstacles in their lives and find love with each other. 2) Love caused Noah never to give up on Allie; it inspired him to write her a letter everyday for a year; it gave him the strength to survive war and his father’s death; it gave him the strength and inspiration to renovate the old home; it caused him to move to the nursing home to be with her. 3) Love caused Allie to go to say goodbye to Noah after seeing the newspaper article. Love allowed her to find him and reach out to reconnect with him in a powerful way despite the years they had spent apart and the other loves in their lives. 4) Love caused Allie to choose a precarious path in life over a safe and stable path.
