Ans.: In any ALP document, there is a default script. This is the script that can be straight-away typed with the CAPS-LOCK key on. To type in any other script (except English), it is necessary to insert a Font attribute in the document. From that position onward, till another font attribute is encountered, all the script typing will appear in that language. Changing the Script option will globally change all text to the selected script, if there is no Font attribute to force it to another script.
