In the Aetna Choice POSII 600 and Aetna Choice POSII HRA plan, where can I go for lab work and what is my cost?
In the Aetna Choice POSII Open Access network, (Aetna POSII 600 and Aetna POSII HRA plan), you must go to Quest Diagnostics for routine lab work. You may also use the Integrated Regional Laboratory (IRL) located at the University of Miami Hospital (UMH) for routine lab work. Lab work performed at these locations are covered at 100% in the POSII 600 plan. For members enrolled in the Choice POSII HRA plan, lab work performed at these locations are covered at 100% if you have sufficient funds remaining in your HRA fund or after you meet your plan deductible. You may also be referred by a University of Miami Medical Group physician to the University of Miami Specialty Labs for non routine lab work and pre-operative laboratory procedures. These specialty labs are covered at 100% in the POSII 600 plan. In the HRA plan, labs are covered 100% if you have sufficient funds remaining in your HRA fund or after you meet your plan deductible.
