In Rotisserie-style scoring, how can my team ABC be ranked lower in my league than team XYZ, but in the same division and/or overall ranking, team XYZ is ranked lower than me?
Using the Rotisserie-style scoring system, points are assigned based on the relative ranking of your stats in comparison to the stats of the other teams. It doesn’t matter by how many home runs, etc. you lead someone by, just the fact that you have more, and thus the rankings can flip-flop when you rank 25 teams as compared to 250 or 2000 teams. This is because when you are ranking a larger number of teams in the division and overall, the difference between the number of points assigned to the teams in your league can become larger and more significant in some categories and thus cause a change in the team ranking order. For example, if team ABC has 100 home runs, which is the most in your league and in your division, and the team XYZ (in your league) has 50 home runs, which is the second best in your league, team ABC will receive 25 points and the other team will receive 24 points. Thus in this 25-team ranking, the difference of 50 home runs only turns out to be worth a 1 point differ
