In Olympic,especially Gymnastics. Why all the females are wearing sort of tight swimwear attire and not men?
I have seen the swimwear worn by men on swim teams, they are not loose at all. With the new suits made for our men and women they are so tight that it takes 20 min to get into. I have noticed several men do wear looser outfits for gymnastics. I guess it is personal choice. I know the suits for swimming even in high school and college leave nothing to the imagination, they are very tight even more so than the girls. With that being said with swimming the tight suits create less resistance in the water and in gymnastics it is to keep the outfit out of the way of the workout. They don’t want to get caught in loose fitting clothes and not be able to do a flip or get their foot caught in them. Also in the dance/floor exercise it could cause problems with being in the way of doing something just like in ballet. That is my understanding of it. Hope this helps.
