In Pyongyang we use the Yanggakdo Hotel, which is on an island in the middle of the Taedong River and close to the centre of the city. This is a clean and functionable hotel with bars, restaurants and shops. The bedrooms are spacious and it would be regarded as a good 3- star hotel by Western standards. In the mountains at Myohyang, the hotel used is also a comfortable 3-star hotel.
