In my current campaign, semi-literacy is the 0-point norm. How do I tell GCB this, so that “Literacy” costs 5 points?
A. In the “Configuration” window, put 5 into Literacy Norm. (Selecting “Renaissance/Colonial” for the time period does that automatically, but you can change it directly if you need a different time period.) Using 0 makes Illiteracy the norm, while using 10 makes Literacy the norm (Literacy Norm represents the number of “free” points in Literacy everyone in the world has by default). Q.
