In my cargo-hold luggage, sometime during transit, my mouthwash spilled and stained several of my clothes. Can Continental Airlines compensate me for this?
They can. The better question is, “will they”. Probably not as most carriers are trying to make a buck anyway they can. Charging for baggage and meals are just the tip of the iceberg. Soon they will charge for carry-on baggage and cell phone usage. Don’t think it can’t get worse because it will. Soon th only people who will be able or want to fly will be the super wealthy. I believe the airlines are pricing themselves out of business.
They can but the question should be, “will they”. Probably not. Every carrier is trying to break even and they don’t want to spend any extra penny. They already have your $$ from the outrageous price they charged you and, I feel, don’t think they owe you anything. All airlines are like this. I’m not picking on Continental in particular.
