In Mac OS X: it doesnt know the program to open the puzzle file or it opens in the wrong program?
The first step is to make sure that you have downloaded AND installed the Across Lite program, which are two distinct steps. Once you have confirmed that Across Lite is installed on your computer, there are a few ways to let your computer system know that you want the puzzle files to open in Across Lite instead of another program. 1. Close all open applications. 2. Go to the Across Lite folder on your computer, select one of the puzzles files that came with the Across Lite (just click it once with the mouse). You can also select a puzzle file that you previously downloaded. 3. Go to the “File” menu and select “Get Info”. 4. Select “Open with application” from the drop-down menu. 5. Select the appropriate application (in this case Across Lite). 6. Click “OK” where necessary to exit out of these windows. When you re-open Internet Explorer and try to access the Crosswords they should open automatically (you may still be prompted on whether to save or open the file). If this doesn’t work t
