Yes. The Commission continues to conduct parole hearings for ‘lifters’ according to its statutory mandate. Eligibility is still 15 years for life with parole. Someone sentenced to life as a result of a proceeding pursuant to Article 27 §413 (death penalty) is not eligible for parole considerations until he/she has served 25 years.
