In January 2007, how did the January General Pay Increase (GPI) work in NSPS?
• In January 2007, NSPS Spiral 1.1 employees with performance ratings above unacceptable received the equivalent of the January pay adjustment that General Schedule (GS) employees received. These payouts included base salary plus local market supplement adjustments. Employees who converted to NSPS in Spiral 1.2 received the January 2007 pay adjustment as well, since these employees had not yet received NSPS performance ratings. • General Schedule employees received a 1.7% across-the-board pay increase effective the first pay period beginning on or after January 1, 2007. DoD raised the minimum and maximum of all pay band rate ranges by the same 1.7% that the GS base rate increased. Local market supplement percentages also increased by the same amount that locality rates increased. CLICK HERE to view NSPS 2007 pay tables and standard local market supplements.
