Whenever air-conditioning is specified or authorized for control of humidity and temperature, dehumidification equipment can be added to control the relative humidity specially below 45% RH, without any fresh sanction required. Maintaining desired RH with a dehumidifier is a technical factor. A letter issued from E in C’s branch, Army HQ dated 16.8.1991 explains the new trends for RH control with the help of chemical dehumidification and does away with the requirement of additional/special sanctions in such case.
