In doing my research on the Internet why am unable to find out the price of hair extensions without first going for a consultation?
Almost all salons charge for hair extensions on a per strand basis excluding VAT as this offers them the chance to make the most money. In order to determine how many strands you will need they will require that you come in for a consultation. While this is best for the salon it is unfortunately worst for the client, as the client has to go for a potentially unwanted appointment and more importantly has no visibility on the final price until she gets the bill. Quite often the price will change between the consultation and the final fitting, as the technician will suggest that more extensions are needed to create a full head of hair.
