Yes. When you apply for accommodation please make note of your move-in date on your application: August 23rd (Saturday prior to program start). If you’ve already applied and didn’t note this date in your application, inform UBC Housing of your circumstances when you receive your offer. You may be advised that you need to complete an “early move-in” application. This application is available on UBC Housing’s application website. Your move-out date is also important. The MD Program’s first year ends in early June, 2009. The cycle utilized by UBC Housing reflects a general UBC undergrad schedule with classes and exams ending at the end of April. If you’ve been offered accommodation in what UBC Housing calls “Winter Housing” (Fairview, Gage) you will need to immediately contact UBC Housing about extending your residency contract.
