In Chinese and Indian Astrology, would I expect a different Sun sign, moon sign and rising sign?
In Indian Astrology- your birth chart or horoscopic chart is based on the position and time of birth- which determines the planetary positions that influence your life- The star signs would be different- although the 12 signs are predominantly the same- i.e crab for cancer, etc- the signs change. This is based on the Lunar Calendar- The chinese base the relation again on the time of birth- determining which part of the animal you would be- for example if you are born in Mid feb after the Chinese new year-lets say on the year of dragon- you fall into the category of the head of dragon- and someone born end of the year will be the toe, etc. This determines compatibility etc based on the other animal sign.
