In case of bad weather, how will I know if school is closed?
As a general rule, Yale University does not close because of inclement weather; however, individual instructors may cancel class. You should first access Classes*v2 for specific Course Announcements. You could then call the voice mail of the faculty member to see if there is a message about cancellations. If the information is not on the instructor’s voice mail, contact the Administrative Assistant for your specialty to determine whether or not the class has been canceled. The announcement to close the whole University comes from the Secretary’s Office and is broadcast on the local radio station, WELI (960 AM), and several local television stations.
