In California, is the obligor required to continue with spousal support payments if he goes on disability?
Soon-to-be ex husband is expected to go on disability. I believe one is entitled to State disability in California if unable to work and he will be 62 this year and will also be eligible for Social Security benefits, maybe including disability through Social Security…….don’t know. I am asking for a modificaiton to the spousal support he was ordered to pay because of his defiance of court orders thus far. I was not awarded any interest in his life insurance and the disability issue is yet another worry.
