In biometrics isn storing a fingerprint image an invasion of privacy?
With biometric solutions from 123ID you can store only the fingerprint template which is only a mathematical representation of the fingerprint image. Also as the developer we give you options for encryption/decryption of the fingerprint template where you can control the key to protect the template from any form of hacking. If a hacker did get ahold of a template it is not possible to be able to re-create the fingerprint image from the template, the template also contains a timestamp that can be checked to ensure that the image was not from a previous time.
