A.Cold plate refrigeration uses frozen eutectic plates inside the body compartment to absorb heat (very similar to the ice pack used in a picnic cooler) to maintain desired temperature levels. These passive plates are refrozen each day during a 6 to 8 hour plug-in. Overall, they are the most reliable refrigeration systems available, and are offered in medium temperature, low temperature and deep frozen product protection ranges.
