The Honors Program is a blossoming intellectual flower on YU’s campus. It has grown significantly since 1999 and now includes many of the most motivated, enthusiastic, and talented young minds on campus. Broadening and deepening education, special attention to writing and oral presentations, and research compose the core of the Honors Program. To achieve these goals, we challenge the students to think: critically, analytically, quantitatively, scientifically, and creatively. Freshman Honors Seminars and honors electives, including honors versions of standard classes, cultivate an atmosphere where students and professors engage in discussion and debate, explore world views and global issues, and experiment with the familiar and the esoteric. Students embark on cultural journeys in New York City and enjoy occasional get-togethers featuring guest speakers, readings, and artists.
