In a cooling system what is the use of the fresh water generator?
A freshwater generator uses the excess heat from a system (often the leftover heat from a powerplant or perhaps a large diesel engine being used to power machinery) to boil saltwater. This produces fresh water for use at minimal cost because you are reusing your lost energy (heat) which increases efficiency of the system. The waste heat would otherwise be needed to be vented to the external environment (outside).
