• Drain out engine oil when the engine is hot so that entire used engine oil comes out. (Hot engine oil is less viscus & easy to come out). • Pour gear oil and engine oil in the system by using separate fillers because they contain different additives. Intermixing of oils may cause harm to the system. • Use oils/gear oils of specifications (not necessarily brands) recommended by OEMs. • Regular visual inspection of oils should be made for vehicles operating under extreme conditions (like dusty, overloading, bad road conditions). • Used oil should be stored properly and disposed to re-refiners only (to prevent soil contamination, protect environment & prevent use of waste oil by unscrupulous elements.
