Position your cursor over the system tray icon (lower right area in your desktop toolbar) and right-click with your mouse. This will display the application menu for you to highlight and select Disable Popups and/or Disable Sound. The system tray icon may change visually to indicate alert popups and/or sound are disabled. Follow these same steps to re-Enable Popups and/or re-Enable Sound. Note the disabled settings are persistent until you toggle them back.
