Im using Sygate to share an analog modem among several computers on the LAN. Can all these computers join races on the Internet through the same modem?
Yes. This works just fine. We’ve had two computers join races on the Internet through an analog modem connected to a machine running Sygate. According to Bart Westra’s calculations (see the Bandwidth page under Help on VROC), each client needs about 13.2 kb download and 9.9 kb upload. Since a 56k modem has a maximum upload speed of 33.6, the limit is probably three clients on an analog modem.
