Im using FBO web services to submit a Justification & Authorization (J&A) notice. Is the solicitation number a required field?
When using the submitJA web service method, the SOLNBR data element is not a system-required field. However, if the statutory authority given for the STAUTH data element is FAR 6.302-1(c) – Brand name, the buyer must provide the SOLNBR. This is a Federal Acquisition Regulation-driven requirement. The submitting agency is responsible for ensuring the SOLNBR is provided for any J&A based on FAR 6.302-1(c).
