Besides upgrading to OS8, which will let you drag a window from any border, there are several shareware alternatives to get this functionality, like Aaron, Kaleidescope, and DragAnyWindow. There is also an FKEY, WindowTopLeft, that positions the frontmost window to the top left hand corner of the screen, below the menu bar.
