Sounds like you haven’t hash-checked the data, so BitComet doesn’t know you’ve previously downloaded some of it. To rectify this, stop the torrent task then right-click it and select “Manual Hash Check”. BitComet will then Hash Check your existing data (check it for errors) and display the correct downloaded amount.
