Microsoft has not yet decided if standard definition DVD will be upscaled to 720p or 1080i, but we expect them to hold on this feature because the DVD Forum (the organization that sets DVD standards) forces hardware manufacturers to use HDMI or DVI video output to deliver high definition video.
