Many of our students decide to pursue a graduate degree in physical therapy upon graduation from our program, at UNE and elsewhere. Although it is possible to take all of the prerequisite coursework for such a degree and obtain valuable hands-on experience with exercise testing, prescription and one-on-one training, the Applied Exercise Science major is specifically designed for individuals who intend on practicing as a degreed, certified Fitness Professional or pursue a graduate degree in various allied health areas.
