I’m seeing a few false warnings for test case 7 (Restart Manager) for my application components. How can we avoid the same?
As per the section 3.5. Adhere to Restart Manager Messages of Logo_Toolkit_Release_Notes: 1. Applications that prompt the user for input or run other processes (such as update modules, registration wizards, and so on) will fail this test. This is primarily because the tool doesn’t detect MessageBoxes and other dialog boxes that may be displayed on the screen. To avoid failures make sure all such modules are disabled or cleared before you execute the Postinstall phase. 2. The Restart Manager test will shut down services and other running processes, and will not restart them. This test will fail if the service is disabled. To restore the machine to a clean state you must manually restart any services that were stopped by the test. The Restart Manager test invokes applications via the Start menu shortcuts. If the application creates shortcuts to *.bat, or *.cmd, the Postinstall phase will fail. Please make sure such shortcuts are removed or renamed with an extension other than .bat or .cm
