Im planing on keeping my rabbit inside and would like to know what kind of cage would be best for indoors. Would a glass container work?
I would recommend using a wire cage, with a pull out tray under it. With this your rabbit will not have to sit in it’s own waste, because it’ll drop down into the tray. This also makes it easier to clean the cage, as all you do is pull out the tray to scrape out then put it back in. Rabbits usually only go bathroom in one corner of their cage, so you could buy a litterbox made especially to fit in the corner of the rabbit’s cage. This makes it even easier for cleaning the rabbit’s cage, as it’ll all be in that litterbox. I can’t recommend a glass container, only because this will be smaller than a cage, the rabbit can easily jump out of this unless you have a cover over the top, plus they will be sitting in their own filth since the dropping can not fall below. For buying a cage the best place to buy them is at a rabbit show, as it’s a lot cheaper than from a pet store or feed store. To find a show close to you the ARBA website has a list of them at http://www.arba.net. The place I buy
