No shortage of watering holes in York! For your basic boozy night out, the “Micklegate Run” is popular (although a little passe now). Daniel Jackson has a page devoted to York’s 158 pubs (he counted ’em!) at http://www.danieljackson.co.uk/pubs/, with a section devoted to the infamous “Run” – a pub-infested area of York where you are supposed to get at least one drink down your throat in all of the pubs.
