Jpegs are acceptable but ONLY if they are very high quality. We will reject your image if there are any jpg compression artifacts visible, and you will have to go through the hassle of rescanning and reuploading a suitable image. If you don’t know how to save a jpeg at a high quality level, or what that means, do not send jpgs. Tiffs have no compression whatsoever, which makes them very high quality and there are no settings to fiddle with. This makes them the easiest option for people who aren’t comfortable with different image file types and settings. If in doubt, send a tiff. It’s easier for everyone, even though you may have to wait a bit to upload it. If your connection will not handle the file size you are working with, you are welcome to use snail mail to send a CD with the files on it.
