If you’re buying for yourself, consider where you would like the pendant to sit. If you like the look of a shorter necklace, the 16″ would probably be best (this would sit just around the top of a crew neck shirt). If you like to wear a longer necklace, or often wear U or V neck shirts, an 18″ chain may be more suitable. If you like the look of an even longer chain, longer lengths are available in some styles; up to 36″! 30″ and 36″ chains look beautiful doubled around the neck. If you’re planning to order a longer chain for doubling, consider a 30″ as a small size and 36″ as large. The `thin ball`chain is available in 14″. This would only be suitable for a girl or adolescent, or a very petite adult with a very small neck. Also, consider the build of your body. If you have a larger build, a 16″ chain may seem a little snug.
