Im looking to buy a Lexus IS300, and the only lower priced ones have over 70k miles. I know Toyotas are very reliable, but are there any problems I should be aware of?
Lexus vehicles are highly known for good resale value and dependability. Many people mistake reliability in place of not maintaining a vehicle. The main problems with is300s are the tires that are made for them. The tires that are made for the is 300 are low profile, agressive and wear prematurely if the vehicle has alignment problems. A four wheel alignment every year will help minimize tire problems. Another is the cd changer assembly, they are very sensitive to burnt cds and sometimes won’t eject. Other than that Lexus will last a long time when serviced properly and on time.
