I’m looking for an old tile. Is it discontinued ?
Answer Tiles are discontinued after they have ran their natural course in the marketplace. Changes in design trends and manufacturing processes are usually the catalyst for tile ranges to be discontinued. There may be a chance to get more if the range was popular, however, a rule of thumb is that if your tile is more than 5 years old, you have little or no chance of sourcing more. Sourcing tiles from 10 – 20 years ago is generally a wild goose chase, with the best results found in visiting reclamation yards or industrial salvage. To safeguard against the impossible search for an old tile, include some spare tiles when ordering and keep them in a safe place. You never know when you might need them.
