IM login failed – now what?
If one of your IM accounts fail to login you will receive a Login window telling you which IM account failed to login. This window has three options for you to choose from. You should first verify that the username and password you entered are correct, to do this select the first option “Change login and try again.” When you select this option the Account Setup window is called up where you can verify and reenter your username and password. If your username and/or password contain numeric or special characters make sure you are familiar with using the ALT key. If you are unsure about how to enter numeric or special characters please see ALT and Shift Key. Restricted AOL accounts, such as KAOL accounts, are not supported. MSN accounts sometimes require the full account name, not just the screen name. For example, if you have a Hotmail account, you must add ‘@hotmail.com’ to your screen name. Your router’s firewall settings could be preventing access to IM accounts.
