Im interested in visiting Turkey after the tour is over. What are my options?
A. Although we will be stopping briefly in Turkey, it is well worth your time to go back to explore this wonderful country further. You could decide to extend your trip from Athens by making arrangements with EF tours to fly home from Istanbul, instead of Athens. Some options are as follows: 1. Fly from Athens to Istanbul and spend several days in Istanbul. The tour leader, can give you a lot of information about things to see. Two main airlines are Olympic Airways and Turkish Airlines. Costs for a one-way trip from Athens to Istanbul vary between $226 – $272. Return flights Athens – Istanbul are $353 -$385. 2. Take a ferry from Athens to a Greek Island near the Turkish coast and then a Turkish ferry to the Turkish mainland. For example: A ferry from Piraeus (Athens) to Vathi (Samos) takes about 11 hours, departing Piraeus around suppertime and would cost from 24.7 Euros for deck class or 29.5 Euros for an economy bed to 65.7 Euros for a better cabin. Once in Samos a hydrofoil to Kusad
