Im having trouble opening the battery door – what am I doing wrong?
The battery door has purposely been structured to be a tight fit. This helps keep the light water tight and discourages young children from gaining access to the batteries and possibly swallowing them. Please use caution: This product does present a potential choking hazard to small children. To open the battery door, first open the living hinge and locate the post and tab. Put your thumb against the backside of the post and put your index finger on the tab. Pull the tab back towards the post, pinch and lift and unlock the battery door. After inserting the batteries (positive side up), replace the door by lining up the tabs on the back end of the door into the slots near the hinge and then press the door down. Lock the battery door by pushing the tab away from the post. You will feel and / or hear the child safety lock as it locks in place.
