Here are some steps that can help explain how our text reader software interacts with the Windows clipboard and how to get started: 1. Open TextAloud and make sure the “Multi” button on the tool bar (top left) is highlighted. 2. On the right side of the screen, make sure “Watch clipboard” and “Prompt to copy from clipboard” are checked. 3. Minimize TextAloud or close it to the system tray (just click on the “x” to close the Window) and then switch to your email program (or whatever). 4. Use your mouse to highlight some text and hit Ctrl-C. That brings up the TextAloud clipboard prompt, then just click “New” and it will create an article in TextAloud. Now click on one of the Aloud buttons and listen to the text read aloud. 5. You can also bypass the clipboard prompt by using optional Hot Keys. Click Options->Hot Key Setup and assign Hot Keys for Import New, Speak Text and Stop Speaking. 6. Now use your mouse to highlight some text, then hit the Hot Key you assigned for Speak Text. TextA
