Im having some difficulties with the comments from some of the really old Rants. Whats up with that?
Well, my older Rants have comments hosted by an outfit called Enetation. They were marvelous for a good, long while, but then they started to have bugs and crashed… A LOT. Usually they’d either fix it on their own or some small bit of account maintenance on my part was enough to get them going again, but this stuff just started happening so frequently, it got tiresome to keep up with it. Eventually, I decided to test drive Haloscan comments instead, and so far, have had absolutely no down time problems with them. So, if I had to guess, and I do, I would say the comment system giving you trouble would be one of the Enetation links. I do try to periodically debug those old links to get them up and running again, just probably not as often as I ought to is all. (Edit- Right now, however, they seem nearly impossible to fix on my own.) (Double Edit- Haloscan was bought out by Echo February 2010, see the next question!)
