The CitiDISK reserves about 900 file names in “Media” folder for each video recording, if user drag-n-drop the video file in Trash and empty them, only the video data space would be reclaimed but not the file names because Computer Operating System wants to keep the “Undelete” feature in case user accidently delete files and want to get them back. Instead of writing the Trashed file name as clean, it marks them as “Unwanted”, ends up taking the reserved 900 file names. Once it is full, CitiDISK will only reuse the last file name space. To re-gain the 900 file names space back, you would need to re-format the CitiDISK: How to get back the folders and re-format the hdd, please find it at ” www.shining.com”, “Driver & Update”, “FAQ”, the top question of “CitiDISK HD” category.
